I saw Stump in 1986(?) in Manchester when I was in Uni.  They were (and still are, sadly) a big influence on my haircut.

The Charlton Heston song was a drum track of frogs and crickets if I remember right.

I think they were all deceptively good instrumentalists.

i follow their bass guitarist on facebook, he is an awesome player. i believe they have had some small gigs and are reforming, never got to see them back in the day, but loved their quirkiness and their captain beefheart influences worn on their sleeves.
