Flash Harry

Rant rant rant....

I was due to play tonight, called in a the venue three weeks ago to drop off the posters...

Tonight - turned up, the place is shut. Shut shut.

Spent an hour ringing around, looking for an alternative, nothing. Had a beer and a curry and went home.

Bastards.

I have a car full of PA, mic stands, cables, mixers, bass cabs, all loaded for nothing - simply because some T$£!&^) couldn't be arsed to tell me that they were closed.

Thanks.
We are here on Earth to fart around. Don't let anybody tell you any different

Flash Harry, that is certainly enough to get your blood boiling! Did they shut the doors for good? In all the years I gigged I suppose we were lucky because the gigs always went as scheduled. Sometimes our start time for casuals would be delayed a bit waiting on the best-men and bridesmaid's toasts to finish up but that's about it. Although I do remember a time when the venue double booked the band.....we just got their first and was already set up when the other band showed up. A little uncomfortable but the owner took the brunt of that one.

Bummer Flash!

Hope you enjoyed your supper.......

We used to get a few double bookings, you would arrive there along with another group, But we always had the advantage, Big Mal, my bass player  six foot 4 and built like a tank, he would take them to one side and have a word..... ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
