Music keeps you young -or does it???

Probably being the oldest (age wise) on the site
I think I have mentioned a couple of times that I go to a small music club on a Wed. night
It's been more down all this year -than up -but I still look forward to it-
It can be soul destroying some weeks -coming home in lousy humour -dreary weary nights
But last night (Wed.)-a magicial night from the word go -I was on my own for a while but 3 other guys came in
who come down an odd time -but are normally into Irish trad.
Anyway-we had 5 of us sitting around-
the line up
Fiddle/bazooki-vocals-==guitar /harp vocals- flutes /jaws harp-percussion-banjo/vocals
and me on electric/vocals

Oh what a night!!!
I sang and shouted me little head off
most of the club members stayed at the bar -
well it was one of the best sessions I have been part of all year, I came home feeling about 30 years younger
we were still there at 1.30 am.
Long live LIVE music
It really doesnt matter whether it's good or bad or going to set the world on fire-It's live music
and truly live music is the the fountain of youth
#if you know what I mean ( a couple of beers also helps you loosen up as well )
 It would have been no different even if I had been well paid at the end of the night.
You could'nt buy a night like last night.

Those nights are so wondrous and make you feel so alive.  Maybe it's all that deep breathing as you belt out another chorus.  I'll bet it took a long while to wind down for sleep.  You cannot plan an evening like that.  It just happens.  Good for you.  I've had a few of those evenings, and I feel good just hearing about it.  Sláinte!

it's night like that when it doesn't even matter if the drummer is late ...... it's even fun when you argue with the drummer after the show if he was late or you were early
