Thank you so much to everyone for the great comments,regarding the string sections ,I just layerd them using the line 6 mobile keys and keyboard sounds come from garage band filtered through some reverb and delay from my Roland vs recording studio to add a bit of room ambiance.

Oh sh*t, Mr Mac, this is utterly superb!
The vox/music mix is sublime - however you achieved it, very well done.  8)

As an aside, I remember reading a piece by Carol where she stated that she/Gerry had written a female and male version of the lyrics which differed slightly - (obviously!  :o ), and it's the male version I'm more familiar with. It includes the lines:

"...no more electric trains
no more trees to climb."

Once again - great cover/upload.

Thanks stevie,you know I'm glad you brought the lyrics ip because I've seen so many different versions of them.
Phil Collins does a version and the lyrics in parts are totally different.
I used dusty spring fields version but changed one part to the male version I.e skipping ropes to toys.....to lend.
I believe there is no version out there better than dustys.
It is such a lovely song.
