Hello;
Under the guise of The Bionic Men, myself & Graham (Voodoo John) have covered the classic Get Carter movie theme, originally composed by Roy Budd.

The backing was primarily recorded using iPad Garageband. It was then transferred to a BR800 where I added bass & VJ added guitar (featuring his new TC Electronic reverb pedal), before finally mastering.

Enjoy :)

Also enjoy VJ's video, filmed by his Dad in 1959 & featuring his Mum.

Fantastic - superb groove - a really funky feel - I'll have to get my DVD out and do a compare - I don't remember the original being this good. I love the theme of this track, it has become a classic.

Well done guys. Brilliant

Great groove is right.  Sounds great. Am loving the reverb on the melody line.

Funky and cool as hell - I also like the video. Well done, guys.

On a related note, the original 'Get Carter' with Michael Caine is definitely worth a watch. Bleak and gritty as can be.

Thanks everyone for listening & commenting.
As always, it's very much appreciated.

I always liked the original 60's Roy Budd version, from the superb British movie with Michael Caine.
Thankfully Graham (who provided the beautiful reverb laden guitar) did too. His input wasn't restricted to guitar alone either. He convinced me to add real bass (the 1st draft had GarageBand smart upright bass). I'm pleased to say he was right :)
Incidentally this recording features my 1st ever keyboard solo ;D

Can't say I enjoyed the movie remake with Sly Stallone, although it wasn't ruined as much as the remake of The Wicker Man was  :o
