Half Whole - a new Falsies song

So here is a song for you.  This started off as another of my usual instrumentals which I gave a working title of "Half-Whole" because the main riff is one of those half-whole diminished scale things.  I played it to Nick (Nightcaller) and he put some words to it and we recorded him singing it when he came to my house over a year ago.  This was all done on my BR1600.

I have finally made the leap into the brave new world of DAWs - shock! horror! - and I exported quite a lot of the tracks into Studio One 3.  I then went a bit over the top and added a few bits and this is the result.

I must warn you:
- a) it is a bit weird
- b) it is over 7 minutes long.
- c) it is not mastered as I only have the version of Studio One that came with my interface.

Wow. Quite a lot in here. I love the riff that first appears at 1:42. Nice use of percussion as well. Really well thought out first solo as well.

Very cool post. Makes me curse myself for not planning out my tunes more. Really blown away by this.

I think my favorite parts are the organ stabs after "Dig your heels in the sand!"

Great ending as well.
