Lack of comments ....

Every now and again, this comes up - and every time someone gets upset and ends up quitting the site. This in never the intent, but it happens - and it seems to me that there isn't as much activity as a few years back. I love this site, its made me produce more tunes than I've ever done - so don't want to see it fade away. There is no blame, no finger pointing - we all live busy lives.

I'll hold my hands up. I've not been commenting/reviewing as much as I used to. So I'm going to try a little harder. I'm aiming for 3 song reviews and comments per day - not posts, but reviews with comments. Its not much, but that's my little bit :-)

Peace.

I am with you in spirit B. Yes life can sometimes take us away from the music and it happens me too. I drift in and out. I have been here maybe 2 years and the community atmosphere is great and the members who are here are very respectful of one another and produce GREAT music. I will be commenting hopefully quite regularly, but there will be times when i go quiet, but hopefully not too often!!

I agree too, I have been a pathetic member of the site for a while now, really struggling for motivation, a spark will happen soon I hope but it doesnt excuse not contributing by commenting on a regular basis, gonna try and take a leaf from Bruno's book and do just that.

Something I have always liked is discussion topics, it would be good to see more topics about music crop up so we can all chip in with thoughts and opinions.

I put this in the Anyone else struggling to find something to say...thread but it applies here...
I really ,really love this site for collaboration and this has come about through listening to the talented people on this site and stepping up to the mark to try and reach out and open up another door musically by mixing ideas.
I've been involved in some great work with so many members on this site, and seen some good friends disappear .
I don't always get time to jump into the site but try my best to put my stamp in it to keep it afloat and there are always artists I really look forward to seeing the next post.
Like hook I listen to music from here rather than radio etc.
On holiday recently I was chilling on the beach listening to my songcrafter friends on my iPod .
I love how people have met up from all those country's,and how I've done videos with people from all over the world.
This site goes through spells of people not saying much but it always fires up again.

Me seven !.................. Summers coming on (I haven't even cut the damn grass yet for the year).......the end of the school year.......been going through hell at work lately.....I've got just over 200 hours of overtime for the year so far.........I am struggling to play my guitar lately because of my shoulder thingy.............etc.......bla, bla, blah......What other excuses do I have...........the usual lot of rubbish keeping me from my passion........my bliss..........making music, sharing music, posting and commenting on music on this wonderful site of ours...........Long live Songcrafters.........music is my drug!!!!!!! I was listening to some good music yesterday and it literally made me feel euphoric and high............who needs drugs and booze......I have all the buzz I need right here on this beautiful site............Thats the heart of this site, our shared and deeply felt love for music.  This site will never die as long as we all have breath in our lungs and a tune bouncing around in our head and fingers willing and able to play our instruments, and each other to lend a song, an ear and a comment to keep the whole enterprise rolling along.

From what I can see the site seems pretty healthy generally. I see wee pockets of time that are more busy than others but that's no problem, especially this time of year I would say people can be pretty busy with a final rush on at work before they have a bit of a chill for the summer. that's how it is for me anyhow.
