Hello from Grand Rapids, Michigan!  I signed up on here when I was sure I was going to win a Micro BR on ebay. Then... I lost. Later I found a slightly used BR-600 with a buy it now price I could not pass up! The only experience I've had with multi-recorders was years ago with a panasonic 4 track cassette model. Looking forward to having fun with and learning all about the BR-600... uhm.. as soon as I receive it from the ebay seller!

Welcome FXR1200 and congrats on the BR600, I think you'll enjoy using the 600 even though it's not as sexy-cool as the Micro... It does offer some added functionality, especially faders which is super helpful and much nicer to work with than the +/- button.

Welcome from Phoenix Arizona!

I spent 12 years in Michigan (Novi, Farmington Hills, Waterford, etc.).  I got tired of the 2 seasons they have there: winter and the 4th of July :)   Now I've got 3 seasons to contend with: spring, summer, and super-summer...

That was my previous experience too.  A Ross 4x4.

When I got my BR, it took me awhile to get my head around what a virtual track was.  Once I got that concept, the rest was was a pretty easy transfer of skills--just learning how to navigate the device.

The BR 600 looks more intuitive than the Micro BR (which is what I have).  There are times when I wish I had friggin' slider controls and a real drum machine built in--to say nothing of pitch correction!  Feel free to taunt me about it when you get yours.

Welcome and congrats with the 600. I almost pulled the trigger on one of those when they came out a few years ago. The specs looked great and 8 playback tracks, too!

I got the Micro so I could record some of my friends' gigs and maybe a Clutch or QOTSA show (Shhh!). However, all I've done is record me myself and I so far and I'm having a blast!

Just lock me in a small room with this thing, slide a plate of food under the door from time to time, and I'll be just fine!

Make sure to have tons of fun and welcome again!

Thanks for all the welcomes!  My "buy it now" BR-600 came in the mail and the seller was not joking about it being unused, like new.  Got all original packaging, manual. mic adapter and neoprene case ...plus the protective plastic still on the lcd.  Not a scuff or smudge on the unit and everything I've tested on it so far works fine.  Also came with the 128mb cf with demo on it.. but I set that aside and dropped a 1gb in.  Not bad at all for $150 and free shipping!  Now I just need some  time to start figuring everything out and get playing.

Oh...and thanks Kody for the mic advce!
