This one was covered by Bobby McFerrin at Later with Jools Holland in 2010:

I've recently changed the PUps of my old Washburn J6 with a couple of Gibson '57 Classic (Vintage at neck, Plus at bridge) Humbuckers, and this is her new voice.

All by myself, except for the soprano sax solo, that I've built with BIAB.

Enjoy and smile!

 :)

Hello Alfredo

I agree, very good brand new sound for your wasburn and beautiful song that i did not know

( Like Groundy i think  saxo  have a phrasing too fast,   but its no easy to find slow beat with soloist in BIAB )

I don't know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.

Great guitar sound and playing Alfredo! I don't know what the Washburn sounded like with the old pups but the Gibson Classic Vintage pups sound excellent...love their mellow sustain....smile on!

Thanks everybody, expecially for your comments about the sax...not always what a performer thinks is great, is REALLY great!  :D So, I'll try something different!

Farrell, the Washburn J6 is definitely a jazz box. I bought mine in 1989, and it was considered one of the best *lower price* copies of the legendary (AND TOO MUCH EXPENSIVE) Gibson L5.

Before changing the PUps, I've read a lot about it, and the substitution with the '57 Gibsons is someway considered "classic" if you want a more jazz-oriented GOOD sound.

It's not easy, though, and neither cheap, both for the PUps price and luthier work, but I can tell I don't regret the Euros I've spent. The sound is now really improved, and this matters, considering how much a Gibson L5 costs today:

..and that I've obtained something very similar spending less than 400 Euro.

The guitars are fantastic! Superb arrangement and playing. I wish BIAB could produce more musical solos though. But what YOU did really shines!

Beautiful guitar playing, particularly the arpeggio backing guitar.  I agree that the sax is a bit over the top, and the guitar is so good that it (the sax) is not really needed.

I didn't know that this was a Chaplin composition.

Great cover.  Very impressed.
