If you like your covers faithful to the original, best give this one a miss!

I've gone where I wanted to go with this, it's probably best described as a work in progress (wanted the ending to be unresolved)

Written by Carte Blanche, Hal David, Burt Bacharach and Ann Orson - originally performed by Elton John and Kiki Dee.

This is where it's at so far . . .

Oh I've updated it (26.5.15) - I never usually update my stuff once it's been done. Slightly faster, different ending and a harmony line . . . I hope it's better . . .

I thought it was beautiful and a little melancholy. I hope you continue on with it eventually.

I don't know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.

I never realised this was a Bacharach & David song.  Love your version Hillary.  Gentle, pensive.

Oh well ........

Sounds like you found the emotional moment Hilary and captured it well with just your voice and the Uke. Nicely done!

Test, test, one, two, three.....is this mic on?

I think this a brilliant re-imagining of the song.  The Elton John/Kiki Dee version was an up-beat pop dittie.  You have converted it into a deeper, darker and far more melancholy piece.  I love it.
