Few months ago i check some SRV licks from youtube and read some articles about his famous sound. I have listen SRV from 80's but i have try to learn to play blues like his brother Jimmie Vaughan.
I try to capture same kind SRV mood and sound in this track.

About recording gear...I use Avid Eleven Rack modelling amps in bass and guitar.
Tokai Strat Custom with Fender Vibroverb, Fender Super Reverb and Ibanez TS-808. This is the classic combination that Stevie use. Later he start to use Dumble and Marshall amp too.
Ibanez EDB-500 bass, TSE BOD bass preamp, XLN Audio Addictive Drums, Cubase Artist 6.5, Variety Of Sound and Vlagd-sound plugins for mixing and mastering.

Best regards
Gary

Great stuff, I think you nailed that SRV sound. One of the true greats he was. One of the few guitar legends still alive is Mark Knopfler who i saw last week live and I will remember this forever. SRV I never saw but wish i Had. Great playing sir!
