A brilliant cover of a great song.  Every part of it exceptional. 

I was a huge Purple fan and saw them at Knebworth shortly after this album came out.  It had been raining heavily all day and the field was a bit like a re-enactment of the battle of the Somme.  I got hit on the head by a bottle that some idiot had thrown.  Fortunately it was a glancing blow.  Unfortunately the bottle was full of urine.

It wasn't my most enjoyable concert.

This album was my constant companion in the second year at uni, '84 / '85 and I haven't heard it since I don't think.  So it's great to hear your version, which is right up there with the original.

I didn't go, but the guys I knew that did came back from that Knebworth with exactly the same tales of woe... I got the impression that there were a lot of flying bottles of urine that day.
