I started off the vocal but my voice isn't up to it. I anyone wishes to finish it off then feel free.

I think your voice is spot on - It's a really good recording and mixed perfectly, don't change it.

The track is brilliant - I don't know this which is a surprise to me - I'm a bit of a Gabriel fan. The tracking and mixing is particularly good, nothing crowds anything, nothing overpowers anything else. this sounds like a very expensive album track, typical of the time and effort that Gabriel puts into his music.

This is going onto my piepod right now.

Absolutely fantastic mate, I doubt it could be improved.   I'm not even going to look for the original.

I'm dying to know how you did this but I probably don't want to know, it would spoil the magic.

I don't know the original either - but this is wonderful.  A thing of beauty.  Really enjoyed listening to this.

Hi Harry
It was done in FLStudio. The sequence is 2 marimbas with a little bit of attack taken of one of them. Vibraphone and glock, orchestral chimes and stones which fade in and out now and again. These are all using Miroslav Philharmonic plugin. It's a strange time thing with the sequence(1 2 3 4 5 6 7 ) but the whole thing is in 8/4.It starts off on the 1st bar but then comes in before the bar until it gets to bar 15 where it start on the bar again and so on.
Drums are 2 kicks, 3 snares, hats,an 808 open hat, shaker, crash, 2 splash cymbals put through Waves CLA Stereo Drums fx.
2 guitars put through Waves guitar fx plugin.
For the synths and bass  I used  Zebra 2 and Zebralette plugin synths
A sample of a Native American voice
And a couple of gongs at the end.
