I know I don't have to justify anything here, all of you are extremely supportive, but I'm going to anyway. When I recorded this, my girlfriend was sleeping, so I was trying to play as quietly as possible. I'm very open to suggestion as to how to get a not only a better sound, but improved style. The song is definitely going to sound forced, I was more concerned about this being an mp3 more than I was just playing and having fun.

1. I was playing on an acoustic electric - no effects
2. plugged into the 1/4 jack
3. Playing very close to the bridge (to keep quiet)
4. The higher pitched notes almost sound like midi to me?
5. Technique wise, I think I sound a lot better, with fewer errors when "letting it rip"

One more thing, I really appreciate the level of comfort everyone here provides, I'm generally too self-conscious to post something like this for others to listen to.

Well Done 8) I know how difficult it is to post especially if you are not use to gigging or sharing your work...It took me ages to get the courage up to post, but I have found that this community has inspired me to try more and more different things and has increased my ability way quicker than before I started on here.......
I always think "well this is only a rough practice" to help get rid of feeling that I am under pressure ;)
Lets hear more 8)

One of the main things I noticed about this site is how polite people answer your questions and comment on your work.  Even if there is criticism it is done in a constructive way to help. Other sites Ive been on there are some right nasty sods ;D

Oh by the way nice sounding guitar

Thanks so much! That was done with an Ibanez ew20asent. http://www.ibanez.com/AcousticGuitars/model-EW20ASENT

I bought the Guitar a week ago (same day I purchased the MBR). I loved the playability of the guitar. I played everything in GC under $1000 (I was willing to spend that much) and wound up with a $380 guitar, go figure. The Ash is a spectacular look.

I'm incredibly motivated to improve. May 29th of last year, I took a few lessons, but really didn't "click" with the instructor. I played religiously for 3 months solid, but just didn't see any improvement. I slacked off over the winter, only playing once or twice a week. This spring I've committed to blasting through the plateau.

Heck yeah!
I'm surprised you can add to it, I have "tempo" issues. I'm going to get lessons again to work on that.

Another Tony :)
