Daffodils - odh original

Here's a track goes by the name of Daffodils.

Which is a working title to be honest - I did the track a couple of weeks ago when the daffodils in these parts are in bloom but starting to go over.  It was set be a meditation on turning 50 and the fragility / uncertainty of life.  But no words came.

So I'm putting it for the Atmosphest.  To me it does stand alone as an instrumental.  If anyone feels they can add something (vocal or instruments) please feel free to do so.

It has a rhythm which has been echoing around my head all my life, it seems.  In the final section I was planning to count at the start of each bar up from 50 to 78. 78 seemed significant.

This is perfect for the fest and stands on it's own as an instrumental. I like the idea of counting up from 50 to 78 at the end though and then stopping abruptly.

A really interesting piece, Nick.  I'm getting impressions of whale-song/air raid siren.  The 7/8 rhythm works really well.

Yeah I noticed the 7/8 rhythm as well, and I made me wonder, because I to used a 7/8 rhythm in my atmospheric fest contribution !! Is 7/8 more in sync with the universe

I like this very much, and it stands just fine as an instrumental.

Unusual time signatures aren't my strong suit when I make music, but I dig the rhythm on this as well as the stop and start bits through it - very interesting!

Absolutley fantastic Nick.......sounds like an outtake from a session Pink Floyd did with Peter Gabriel in the 70's..........it didn't really happen, but I am imagining this as the historical record from such a session.........absolutely flipping wonderful.
