A song about/for my Father. Been working on this for the past week, all done in my car with my uke, my phone (garageband) and my 008.

1 drums (GB House drum machine)
2 (each stereo) strings (GB modern)
1 bass (GB)
1 vocal
1 effected uke
1 uke solo

that there's more of you in me
than just the temper that I see
perhaps your ingenuity
at some point rubbed off on me

If I had been smart I would've listened to you

I'll remember the man and the way
you were to me
Nobody's perfect but you did so many things perfectly
You impacted my life
more than you ever realized
and I pray now you have the peace
that here is so hard to fine

great lyrics Hook. Beautiful song and dedication. the lyrics really speak to me,i lost my dad when i was 17 and he was and still is the biggest influence on my life.

Beautiful tribute to your dad, heart felt honest music - wonderful. Music is a healer, but it takes time. I'm sure you're feeling fragile at the moment brother, so go easy on yourself.

The lyrics are so honest...I would drop out more instrumentation during them to drive the meaning home. Great in a way that only Hook can deliver vocals.
