Nightfall - a Chapperz atmospheric piece

I started this one a couple of weeks ago and had to complete it in a bit of a rush when it looked like the atmosfest might win. I say "in a bit of a rush" but a couple of weeks is approaching warp speed for me!

Apologies to DrC for using the "Nightfall" title which he has also used. It was the working title I gave it when I started and it kind of fits.

Keyboards were Motif XS7 and Roland Fantom G. Guitar was my 70s black strat through the AxefxII. Mixed and mastered in the good old BR1600.

I'm not sure that it is totally ambient but I think it is fairly atmospheric.

Excellent composition, i was able to just melt into those chords and i really dug the drums.

Hey, no need to apologize! The title Nightfall was used by Isaac Asimov way before us

Very cool song, by the way. Sounds ambient enough to me, and certainly atmospheric and mysterious. Excellent combination to my ears! Good to know yoo're a fellow XS user

This is dreamy atmospheric stuff! Excellent performance as usual and a real treat of a composition! Really nice chord progression that has enough tension too make it interesting and enough release to make the dream go on!

I really like the bass and stab motif running through the piece, great guitar and progression.

I like the way that the percussion doesn't occupy the same sonic space that the guitars do.

Atmospheric.
