An excellent rendition of this Willie Dixon song Tommy! You seem to capture that late 50's early 60's vibe easily as you have done here. I might be showing my age or agelessness but I remember this song playing on the radio in the early sixties as a pre-teen. I'm not sure who was doing it (wiki says Little Walter or Chuck Berry) but I remember it well. Good one!

Great stuff Tommy.  Love your guitar tone and the vocals are great too.

I was born in the 50's - but only just!

I love that you're trying to recreate the authentic 50's sound.  It is something which has occupied me to some extent since the John Lennon Jukebox fest last year.  I think it must have something to do with the recording technology - maybe more compression, smaller bandwidth.  Maybe the amps were less sophisticated.  Sometimes it just needs to be a bit more lo-fi.  Mono?

And I love this song - I've just been catching up with the Little Walter original (?) and I've gone ahead and got the History of Chess records that I've had in my Amazon baskets since the JLJfest.  Your version pushed me over the edge.

I enjoyed listening to your version very much.  Lovely confident and competent delivery as usual.
