CLONES - I thought I heard one

A K

I was listening to my wife's music in the car on the way to work when I couldn't believe what I was hearing - it was ORH coming through my speakers.

or search "Genesis calling all stations".

The vocal delivery, lyrical content and unmistakeable vox all seemed to be his.
Was ORH moonlighting with the greats, or was there a clone?

That's Scottish singer Ray Wilson. You're right - they do sound similar.

Here he is singing with Steve Hackett.

In the last few seconds of the Firth of Fifth video, it looks like the house engineer faded out the sound while the keyboard player was still playing and, if my lip-reading skills are any good, he says "I'm not finished!!". :D

Could be. He does use some Fernandes gear.

Although, he was getting that kind of sustain long before the Fernandes Sustainer was invented. "Firth of Fifth" from "Selling England by the Pound" was recorded in 1973. I believe he used his 1957 Les Paul Goldtop on that recording. I don't think the Fernandes Sustainer was invented till the mid-1990s.
