Kari posted the tune "pastoral song" here https://songcrafters.org/community/index.php?topic=23017.0 took me a bit of time to find a way in. tried to stick with a pastoral theme. the lyric is pretty much autobiographical of my idyllic scottish childhood.

with the sun on our backs
we run up the hill
wipe the sweat from off our brows
we keep going still
oh the butterflies dance
the grass right up around our shorts
our legs scratched and grazed
we don't feel a thing
we're having fun on happy days
leap across the stream
tickling for trout
put more wood upon the fire
before it all burns out

not a care in the world
as long as the sun shines
throw the trout onto the fire
leave it's guts for the crows
feed our hungry faces
before heading home

Thanks James!!! I'm speechless!!! Great lyrics and you sang excellent melodies both on verse and chorus!

When posted the instrumental version, I was afraid that the lead melodies (interplay between two guitars) were too strong or determinative for vocals, but they weren't!

Beautiful music by Kari (I remember its original post), and I love the lyrical additions James added, and very nice following the melody in the instrument track, which lends it a light renaissance-style touch.
