The Reopening

It may not have even been noticed, but I apologize for my absence from this site. Life has thrown me an overwhelming amount lately.

The music here isn't anything big, really just something to be a background for the poem.

Today began a thousand thoughts
Ahead of each step,
Yet I'm still a whole lifetime behind.

Lost when hopes were at rise and
Far too out of reach to realize
When I fall right through the center
Of all reason.

Where fearful and blinded, I cannot breathe.
I'm where no one can find me
This far from who I was meant to be.
And God knows I can't believe.
His light is overcome.

Tonight will begin
A thousand scars reopened.
My unfeeling heart has chosen.

I will take my leave.

That would be very cool hearing strings included. I really do appreciate your feedback as I don't know much of a way to describe my techniques or approach to pieces. It's great to know however it works out, something to enjoy can still be taken away.
