Constructively, I agree with your own comments.
The drums are clear but very dry IMHO.
The Dug dug guitar sounds a little muddy here.
Great lead playing but over time it feels random rather than melodic.
You might grab a few choice phrases (there are lots of them) and repeat them?
Anyway, a very nice listen.

Btw that opening riff reminded me a bit of the break in paddle faster that I struggled so long to learn
