how to edit a track ?

Hi,

I have had the Micro BR for more than a month and like it a lot.
I record maninly bass tracks on it.

How can I edit few seconds of a track without losing everything I recorded before on the same track, like editing just a few notes ??

I don't know how to do that.  Let me know please if you can help me.

Salutations to all.

I think what you want is to use the "Auto punch-in/out" feature when recording. See page 46 in the manual. It may also be covered in one of the fine tutorial videos on this site.

Thanks Geir for the info.
I cannot find the tutorials now.  Are they gone ?
Let me know.  I will also check page 46 in the manual.

Basically you just hit A-B at the start of the  problem (It starts blinking) and again at the end (shows AB and choices).
If you are going to record over the area, rewind a few bars to get the feel, then start recording and play along right thru the AB section. (Remember to set the same levels etc)
It starts and shuts off automatically as if someone were doing it for you.
The AB can also be used to copy or erase that section only etc. You get the idea.
A very useful and an important basic function to learn.
