Randy Bachman tune

The local classic rock radio station here is doing a Randy Bachman contest where you play the solo on his tune and
make a video of you playing over the song and i was thinking of doing it until i found out you have to facebook, twitter it and get a lot of likes and then he does the final judging and you win an autographed Epiphone and
get to play on stage with him. Contestant vids are at the bottom of the page.

Sounds like too much work to get the likes but I listened to the tune and it`s pretty damn good rocking tune.

Looks very cool, and a cool tune.

My favourite Randy Bachman band was a band called IronHorse. I bought it in a second hand record shop when I was a kid, and long since lost it. I only bought it because I vaguely heard of Randy Bachman, and loved the album. With the wonders of youtube, you can find most things. :-) This has some cracking tunes on it, well worth a listen, even though it's quite old.

Gnasty I listened to clips of all the entries so far and it's a shame/deterrent that social media posting (FB likes) will be a factor in selecting the winner.......because what I've heard of your playing your hands above the ones I listened to. It's a good tune. I wonder if Peter Framptom just jammed his original solo out...sort of sounds that way.

Thanks for the heads up on Ironhorse Bruno. I forgot about that project. I`ll try and find that album and listen or listen off youtube. Pretty weird they allow that going on still.

I only know The Guess Who and solo stuff from him.He wrote a whole lot of great tunes!

The most rocking Mormon ever!! Or used to be. These guys switch like political leaders and parties. 

Thanks Farrell. I only watched two so far and they were pretty good but if i were to do it i`d play the rhythm too. Seems like a lot of funny face nothing in waiting for a lead lick to come up.

It is sad about the likes thing. There is just no way of getting around the FB thing and it`s here to stay I guess.
