earlier today Alfstone was discussing a song he wanted to collaborate on for the workfest. he explained he would tune his guitar to dadgad for the song with a capo on the fifth fret. so as an experiment i tuned my £10 guitar to dadgad but put my capo on the fourth fret and this song came to me from nowhere after a few minutes of strumming.
we all need a reason
we all need a goal
a purpose in life
something to fulfill
we all need meaning
but we all should know
we all need love
we all make mistakes
get things wrong
only human
we need to get along
we're the same but different
but we all should know
we all need love
we all have hopes
we all have fears
sometimes we struggle
to hold back the tears
why all the fighting
why all the wars
could we live in peace
if we all had love
we all need love

I loved this. It's in the same ballpark as your "I Just Don't Know," and that one spoke to me exceptionally. You downplay your playing from time to time, but I could never do the off-kilter strum like that throughout a tune, and it's just killer...just great.

Loved the feel! Nice chord progression! Propably the tuning puts an extra good flavor to this!

Very nice tune. That said, the guitar was quite boomy to my ears, a light amount of EQ may well improve the overall clarity, but that's just me.
