This thread is amusing me...

Did Blooby get the products he was after?

Yep, I'm fairly certain I'd NEVER want one of these guitars. Having learnt very early on (aged 14 or something) that you have to retune slightly to get different key signatures sounding completely right, but that in the heat of a gig it DOESN'T REALLY MATTER... I'm kinda happy with how a traditional fretted instrument (set up well, obviously) behaves... I guess I play round it.

Nice idea, but...

EDIT: There is a thing called Earvana - a compensated nut (like the bridge is compensated on most guitars). My luthier man swears by them, and I might give one a go. Apparently it sorts out some "tuning" and "intonation" issues - but I'm not sure they're directly related to what this is about.

Lucy for me; Pot, Not.

Tuning becomes a matter of consideration only for equine horticulturalists.

I have two fretless basses, I find I can be out of temperament with every note in any key.

OK so, I have no fretless basses, I find that I can be out of temperament with either of them

And I have one temperamental bass and I find I'm fretless most of the time ...

It`s amazing how all that crookedness makes perfection.

Maybe God should have made us this way. Or does this means God is crooked?

Now we`re really getting way out there man.  8)

It is a cool thing to have for one guitar i guess. I don`t think i want one. I like raw imperfection.

This is like the invention of a car that runs on water. It`s the right thing to do but nobody cares.

It looked like the fingerboard has been crocked, but plays real sweet. :-)
