:(

62. At present, "unknown causes". But he was surviving cancer (since the 80s) and AIDS.

Didn't regard himself as a bassist, but he was one of my favourite bassists.

Is just a piece of paper
To say a few lines
Make up my mind
So she can read it later

Yes RIP Andy Fraser. What a great bass player with a distinct sound. One thing about listening to his style is that it makes me want to not be as safe when adding bass to my own songs. Having a more active bass track is more fun and it really adds something special to music. RIP Andy....

This is such sad news one of my all time favourite bands and the version of Mr Big at Granada just shows why, what a four piece they where and Andy Fraser was outstanding no tricks just great music

Sad news indeed. I'm not a big Free fan but Andy Frazer sure knew how to play bass and, keep the band together.
Sweet young thing aint sweet no more.
