"Day Off" a Hook original for work fest

Done over the last few days. I'm working on a video but running into some problems so I figured I'd post the song now.

1 uke & vocal (stereo)
1 lead uke (stereo)
1 bass- that's me on my bass
1 drums (stereo) that me on my kit

I think perhaps today I'll go mountain Climbing
or maybe break the kayak out and take it for a spin
Put on my boots & see how far I could go
I've got the day off from work
but what to do I don't know

Always wanted to take a hot air balloon ride
Or join a flocks formation as I hang glide
I think I'll be nervous as I jump my first sky dive
I've got the day off from work
I've never felt more alive

I'll hop on Silvers back & take that fine horse for a ride
I'll get an apple watch & be connected all the time
I'll go to the movies & sneak into theaters all day long
It's my day off
What could go wrong

The morning skies are grey  and I just felt a drop of rain
My car has a flat & i've hurt my back again.
My phone just rang and it was my boss don't you know
Today wasn't my day off & he just let me go
Guess I got the off tomorrow

I like the story line hook! It's kind of sad but kind of happy.....ie. "I just got fired, it's the best day of my life!" This actually happened to my wife a few years back and after she was hired to the best job of her life. She retires from that one in June after 15 years. The uke and vox sounds good!

The ukes are sounding especially sweet on this one, Mr. Hook. Great combination with the bass & drums (nice drumming, man!), and love the lyrics and your vocal delivery.
