Great collab, gents! Brilliant playing and singing! Which gear did you use on the recording, Alfredo? Very dynamic and clear!

Yes we well recognize the DADGAD touch

I have this common point with Alfredo total fan of Bensusan. he is t is not only a great guitarist grea (and singer) but also a craftsman of the music and an very approachable guy

He was kind enough to dedicate my book of workshop in Haiti in 2014

I post , to day in cover song  one of song of this first album (it was "Près de Paris") ; the song is a traditionnal: "One morning in May"

Congrats,Redler, you noticed something different, AND in fact something different was: it's the first time I've used Ozone 6 with one of its "light" presets (more detail) for the final mix.

Thanks!

Alfredo

It's a fascinating and engaging story.  The context is that England was at the end of a civil war raged throughout the 1640's and the land and people were spent.  It's the same year the King was tried and beheaded by the victorious Parliament army leaders.

Back two decades ago I used to fight on the Roundhead side the Sealed Knot, English Civil War re-enactment society, so this is of particular poignancy for me.

Anyway.  I enjoyed listening to that very much and the extra historical context has added dimensions for me.

Thanks both

Thanks Geir!

Since (some years ago) the managment of Eko guitars is supervised by the Italian guitarist Massimo Varini, Eko guitars have moved several steps ahead. Now they make really good guitars at a reasonable price.

Mine is this one:

Another one of my favourite songs that you guys have covered. For anyone interested this song was written by Leon Rosselson. Check out Dick Gaughan doing another one of Leon's songs Stand up for Judas.

Came back for another listen. Really think this one is special.
