I promise there are vocals (starting around 2:40), but what's a Dead tune without copious noodling?

Live in the Living Room.

Copious. I should use that word more frequently.
Willie was right, there's not enough Dead on this site.
This is a good start, Blooby.
Awesome.
Okay to cover.

I don't know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.

Great playing and singing - you have a great voice.  Which bits were LITR?

Grateful Dead have escaped my attention on the whole, should add them to the list of Bands I Should Know Better.

My friend Curtis was actually singing. If I ever reference a kayak camping trip gone afoul, he would be involved. We are poor influences on one another, but I mean that in the best of immature ways.

I was not a Deadhead. I saw them once and enjoyed The Black Crowes opening for them more. As I got some years under my belt as a guitarist, I started getting into improvised music. Then a band came out called Jazz is Dead. It was fusion greats (Billy Cobham, T Lavitz from the Dregs, Alphonzo Johnson from Weather Report, and Jimmy Herring) doing instrumental versions of Dead tunes. That turned my ear because before that, I lumped all their music into that "Casey Jones" and "Truckin'" camp. The kicker for me was when Warren Haynes and Jimmy Herring both joined Phil Lesh (the Dead's bassist) for a couple years. There are loads of great soundboards of that band which are freely and legally traded (Here's one: https://archive.org/details/plf2001-04-30.96362.sbeok.mtx.ekoostikal.flac16), and I immersed myself into that. I came to realize that most folks who say they don't like the Dead have only been exposed to a small portion of it. I'd like to think there's something for everybody there, though.

Thanks for listening, especially to something so loose and harmonically banal.

Well done Blooby and crew! It's nice to get my Dead fix so early in the morning. Great noodling with the JG style playing Blooby and the singer did well with it. The only disappointment is that it wasn't one of those 30 minute Dead jams. Thanks for The Dead fix!

I have come to really appreciate the Grateful Dead due to their channel on Sirius/XM radio. Between that, the sports and comedy channels and Howard Stern, XM is worth paying for... Barely.
Okay to cover.
