this song came to me in a flash, if i had decided to record it on my microbr it would have been completed in under an hour. however i decided to record it on my br800, and i disappeared up my backside for the best part of today.

I could be the hero come and save the day
or I could be the coward who just runs away
could I stand my ground when push comes to shove
get down and dirty or rise above
rise above it all
rise above it all
rise above it all
just try and do what is right
and rise above it all
you can't control your ego with false  modesty
when you look in the mirror and you still can't see
suckered by the sound bites of false prophecies
you can still be the hero and come and save the day
rise above it all
rise above it all
rise above it all
just try and do what is right
and rise above it all
it's easy to fear and it's easy to hate
to lay blame at someone else's gate
and with the little, that you think you know
you can come to conclusions that are oh so wrong
oh so wrong
rise above it all

Oh so poignant.

it's easy to fear and it's easy to hate
to lay blame at someone else's gate
and with the little, that you think you know
you can come to conclusions that are oh so wrong
... or oh so convenient.

Nicely... done...

That's amazing how you can write fine and entire songs immideately when the idea comes to you!

Great songwriting both on musically and lyrically...the vocal melodies are so rich in nuances!

James once again you make me sit up and pay attention
great song great backing -great recording
But on the BR800 -everything on it is hard work
as you said on the old recorder -you would fly through what you were doing
Have to say the BR800 to me was a massive pain in the ass -
I got rid of mine.never liked it from the word go.

I'm loving my BR800 Tommy but i am finding it a steep learning curve, the biggest difference i find is that the preset effects patches are not as easy to use straight out of the box so to speak. for this one i actually recorded both the vocals and guitars via the micro br plugged into the br800 in order to use the mbr's effects. that said the effects for bass guitar are a vast improvement.
