"Matching Holes" Hook covers Kenny Mac for TributeFest (video)

Well like Nick, I have been pretty impressed with Kenny's outpouring of tributes & thought I should pay a little tribute to this excellent songcrafter. I absolutely love this song & really enjoyed learning it and playing. It was also alot of fun diving into Kenny's great jukebox. This was done with my Tascam DR-V1HD yesterday morning. I was concerned with clipping the audio so I turned the input level down a bit but maybe too much? I need to start trying to record a separate audio & synch it to the video but my time is pretty limited lately. Regardless I'm going to rip the audio from the video & then post that as an mp3 so I can get it in the jukebox. Hope you like my little LITLR rendition of your oh so excellent tune brother!

Just pulled the audio from thr youtube upoad & it was very quiet so normalized it and used the leveler in audacity for the MP3. Still learning this video editing & stuff so hope you will all be forgiving!

Hook ,I'm absolutely knocked out by this version,it was so thrilling to see it was also on video.
my wife  and I watched it together and she was really impressed by it.
This has got to be one of the best fests,so many different versions of songcrafters songs and so much to choose from.
A real pleasant surprise hook and you looked so happy playing it like you jumped into the emotion of the song.
I'm a fan .

Wonderful cover brother - I really dig this tune. Great bit of songwriting from Kenny, and a super performance from the Hook-meister. I knew there was something strange with the video, and then I realized, you are wearing a jumper!!! I've heard that its quite cold in FL at the mo. My friend Claire who lives in Fort Lauderdale said it was down to 40 yesterday, I must say it looks nice and sunny though :-)

Nothing wrong with the sound, sounds full and lush.

I watched the video too and it looks like you are parked outside the shops.  That's really making your time stretch if you are recording songs in the car waiting for someone to come back with the shopping.  Very impressive.

That's funny Ian. I am in front of some shops but it's about 8:30 in the morning and most of them aren't open yet. My first gig on Friday is real close so that's my Friday morning location. Now with the adoption, I drop my son off at school and that gets me to my gig about 40 min early so I get another chance for a session. If I can say awake that gives me 5 different weekly sessions (30min. to about 2hrs on Wed.) Tues- Thursday...I just have to fight the urge to nap...I did not fight the urge much last week.

It's a sweater (in fact 2 sweaters), not sure what a jumper is but I'm picturing something in a one piece...no not a jumper . It has been a very nice winter season here, in fact this is the 2nd year in a row to have a few tolerable months . Great for recording in the car... but not to last I'm sure.

LOL - a jumper is just an alternative name for a sweater in the UK brother. We tend to use jumper more that sweater, at least in around here.
