Hi all, a bit of post apocolyptic blues. Hope you enjoy..     Willie

All the city streets are quiet now
That's what I'm thinking
All the bars are closed and shuttered
No one's drinking
It was the saddest thing I ever saw
When all the young men marched off to war.

All the women they wring their hands
And look at photos on the mantle
Tommy with his sister at the seaside
So sentimental.
It was the saddest thing I ever saw
When all the young men marched off to war.

She stands by the window
Watching for the postman
But there's no letter for her today.

Nothing wrong with a bit of  post apocolyptic blues Willie! Right up my street, that lead guitar tone is fab, and loved the synth arrangements! Very cool chap

Brilliant Willie. Great lyrics, great concept, great performance. Pretty majestic production as always, love the orchestral sounding pads and the "vocal" stabs that come in about 4:00. Fabulous guitar work as well, restrained but lyrical and very powerful. Very nice work, really enjoyed this one.

A real masterpeace willie, I love the bridge and the way you sing, and then the tone of that guitar...
Lyrics and music go so well together here
well done

Hey Willie,

They need to make another Jason Bourne movie so they can use this as the theme song.

I like this a lot. Your voice and guitar playing are perfect for this.

Ian

Great atmosphere and lots of lovely features and flourishes on both the synth and guitar parts. The vocal is a peach too. That 'She stands by the window' part really reminded me of the 'Science Fiction Double Feature' song from the Rocky Horror film for some reason. Like those little vocal 'ohhh' stabs on the synth. Cool as f*ck!

Great blues guitar sound, great 80's synth sounds - they remind me (sound wise) like Rush. Great bit of song writing and production.
