A bit of a head scratcher here. Mixed meter 7/8 & 6/8, I improvised the uke/counting track in one take this morning on a very busy street before work. I added the rest this afternoon, also in the car with my phone. The vocals are the ps02 into the 008.
1 uke/counting (stereo)
1 animoog (stereo)
1 taking drum (drumjam) stereo
1 cymbals (stereo) Thumbjam
2 tuba (TJ)
1 vocal (stereo)
Nothing
written & performed by Hook
I want to fall into nothing
Where nothing consumes me

Where nothings all I strive to be

I want to live ignorant of all things
avoiding  all the pain things bring

I want to fall into nothing
where I understand nothing

I like this one a lot Hook,
Puts me in mind of David Bowie...
Well done

Very cool and very clever young man, one of my favs from you! Must note though the lyrics you posted seem not to be for 'Nothing'... it could be me though...it's early and I have a work jolly at Wembley!  :) Bravo

I find it really hard counting to seven, I usually go 1-2-3-1-2-3-4

Weird timings rule!

Nice one

Oh man - Apart form 7/8 being an absolutely fabulous time signature (Sufjan Stevens is a super exponent) you have just rounded the whole thing off with a guide.

This is really really clever, it works so well, the maths, the music and the flair. This must be tricky live....

I love it. So out of 10, I give it......

11.

This is brilliant.

I'm with Nick, weird timings rule.

Love the mixed meter 7/8 & 6/8, very weird and difficult to play!!!

Love also the chord harmonic progression... agree with the David Bowie vibe.

Bravo for the improvised uke & counting in only one take!

Brilliant
