Fab production, and superb performance - you really nailed the passion on the vocal, Kenny! Love the driving beat and in particular the fuzzed guitars - great tribute to a great Songcrafter!

I love this fest ,it is a great way to pay homage to some great songwriters.
You can never get round everyone,but the site is full of so many talented people.
I really glad nick liked it as well ,it's always a worry when you touch some one else's song.
Cheers.

Hook

This is one of my favorite ODH tunes & you have totally done a bad ass job with it my brother. Such tight production & that vocal is amazing. Blown away by this brother, you are the king!

Still on a high from having you cover my humble song, Kenny.

It's the first time anyone's ever done one of my songs.  There's something a bit existential about the experience, like when you have potential buyers come around to look at your house and you see everything fresh as if through their eyes.

The song is actually based on a true story.  Back in the mid-80's I was going out with a girl who always seemed happy to be around my (then) best friend.  And I knew he was a slimy so and so; I knew him from old.  Then I discovered there was more to it than they were letting on.  Things did come to a head and there was a confrontation.  And she did side with him.  Thereafter the story is fictional, mind, nobody died.  There wasn't even a tidy punch-up...

Hey nick ,
I'm really pleased that you like this,I'm a bit apprehensive when I do these things,It's just in my nature as I'm not and never have been a confident guy.
I'm glad you finished the post by saying no one was hurt lol and you were not writing your songs while in prison  ;D
It's funny but I could sense the emotion in this song and it was like playing the part when I was singing it,especially the line
"You sided with him;
I could feel the Angst in that line and when I listen back to it that part of the song shouts out at me.
So I guess when people write songs that are close to their heart it embeds itself into the song.
You wrote a great song nick and it was a pleasure to put my version out there for you.
