"Summertime Blues" - Bruno's tribute to Hook

I loved this song when Hook first posted it - still do, its a great song!

This version kinda started in one place and ended up in another - I'm not sure it qualifies as a cover as its very different from the original. Brother, hope you don't hate it too much!!! As much as I tried, I couldn't get the Whoa's in the song, I think I took it too fast

I'm not a singer, so had to bring it to a place I could deal with   Oh well, its done, so have to post! That said, the down side is that I've had the flu the last week and a racking cough, the plus side, its made me quite husky.

Nothing wrong with this, in fact its rather splendid!

Dipped in to the original before listening, and yes it is way different in many ways, but I like it in a lot of instances when a cover turns the original on its head and presents it in a whole new way.

You did a great job with the vocal, and the combination of the excellent "almost" spoken words with that speedy and busy rhythm creates a kind of frantic Country feel.

I bet Mr Hook will be made up when he hears this.....great stuff!

I love it brother, you are the coolest of cool in my humble opinion. What a humbling fest to have such great musicians interpret your tunes. bruno my brother, you are so creative & such a talented player & yes... a good singer to boot! You might have to pull some back up vocals at our gig this summer (yea, It's happening!!!!) Thank you man for taking this tune into a true place of blues!
