LOL, Hook!

Alex and Hook, thanks for the compliments!  I love it when Tommy turns me onto a song I don't know, but should.  This is a great one.

Tommy always honors a song thru his playing, arrangements, singing, and sly sense of humor.  His song posts are a delight for me.  I can almost see that Oirish twinkle in his eye when I lay down a track for him.  It's an honor and a pleasure to make music w you, my friend.  Thanks for thinking of me!

BTW I'm playing dobro, not lap steel.  It's mic'd, no amp.  Just the tone of the resonator.  I don't use fingerpicks so my tone is softer than most traditional dobro players.

Thanks for listening!

Hey guys this is excellent! It's cool hearing an old toon from Boxcar Willie. Tommy your vocal and acoustic strumming both sound great. So does the dobro Geo! Not using finger picks does explain the softer dobro tone and I like it! My son inlaw added some dobro, with finger picks, to one of my songs and it was a struggle to tame the high end brittleness but it came out fine in the end. I prefer your softer sound. Well done gentlemen!
