Mine is pretty simple .. My main guitar is a Godin LG and I'm from Quebec.
The acronym for Quebec is "QC" , so I came up with godinQC

upsetminded

Upsetminded is a name my little cousin in Vancouver came up with for some sort of affliction that came over his friend.  What I can gather is that his friend had some sort of temper tantrum and would not come out from under the kitchen table until his mother and father finally coaxed him out.  My little cousin explained that he became, "Upsetminded."  I thought it was a funny diagnosis and it has stuck for many years as my "little cousin" is now 17 years old and 6'4".

3guitarsEddy

When I joined the site I didn't know what to put so on seeing 64Guitars monicer I thought I would go on that style. My real name being Edwards and having 3 guitars at that time I came up with the name as 3guitarsEddy, however, since then I have acquired a bass guitar but I'll leave that off. I still go by the name of Eddy.

dragonshade

Interesting topic... how neat to hear everyone's reasoning on their nicknames. Lol, sorry Mike... I really thought 48 was a new guy, didn't add up it was ole' Forte ;) :D.

dragonshade... well that started years ago. My wife and I have always been into dragons, and in effort to create a name for her business (that never happened), we added "shade"... just sounded kinda cool. Was going to be Dragonshade productions. Anyway, just happened I started using it for an online group, and from there I found it easier on the memory to be consistant... so everything online I am part of I am dragonshade. You will find dragonshade in various art forums (artpapa, wetcanvas, etc), American Pitbull Terrior groups/forums, here, and various other places online. Funny to think it started as a matter of convience, and I guess has developed to the point of an online alias  :-[ :P

I think mine is pretty obvious - I started out learning the steel string guitar for strumming, then had about a 6 year fascination with flamenco, moved to classical guitar, bought a ukulele, jazz guitar, electric guitar, mandolin, banjo, Oud, learning the piano...I'm a 'jack of all' trades and master of none....

Migs

I tried to register as Davo to keep consistency with my email addresses and facebook and what people generally call me (except my mother when I was young) but someone here stole it.

In some forums I have moderated, I had an alias migs or migster so people wouldn't know who was moderating them.  That kinda stuck and comes out when Davo is taken.

Some of you might remember the character next to Hannibal Lecter in Silence of the lambs who did bad things to Jody Foster as she walked past.  He was migs.  No relation.

Fiiiinallly, and in keeping with the theme, my father was a chemical engineer and I lasted in the course for about 2 weeks before swapping to something with less daunting maths.

Trotters

This was an awesome read!!!!

My one is pretty simple and not that interesting...My surname is Trotman and my school nickname is Trotters....the 5 at the end is just because someone beat me to get the hotmail account so I just poicked that random number... ???

P.s Kody just let you know it's Trotters not Trotter5....I know this sounds pedantic but like you, it "hits home" when people praise my "work" with my real name...... ;D ;D
