this song is an old one of mine, every time i get a new piece of kit, it being the one song of mine i can remember, well i always try it out on my new kit.

this song was the first song i recorded on my micro br.

https://songcrafters.org/community/index.php?topic=7.0

it is also the first song i recorded on my new br800. intentionally so.

tho everytime i record it, it changes ever so slightly. hence the lyrics don't quite match.

you will notice the title on the mp3 is this is the day 2014.

although this is my first post of 2015, song was recorded in 2014.

anyone aware of my errant puppies will know that it has taken a great deal of will and restraint to wait to post this.

have my puppies been tamed?  ..............................

this is the day
i'm gonna finalize my plans
this is the day
i'm gonna make you understand

i'm gonna walk down the street
shake hands with everyone i meet. (repeat)

yeah.............this is the day.

i'm gonna put my life in order
i'm gonna do the things i oughta
i'm gonna do whatever i have to

i'm gonna get myself together
things are gonna get much better
i believe that's true

i'm gonna walk down the street
shake hands with everyone i meet. (repeat)

yeah.............this is the day.

this is the day
i'm gonna take the big ole bad bull by the horns
this is the day
i'm gonna right all of my wrongs

i'm gonna walk down the street
shake hands with everyone i meet.
i'm gonna walk down the street
shake hands with everyone

Sounds great James. Sweet harmonies. Reminds me of Teenage Fanclub. Good thing in my book.

this is a really old one but in it's birth it was inspired by with or without you by U2 so that should give you an idea of how long ago i wrote it. so probably before i heard of the fannies, that said they are certainly an influence to me over the years. and like i said every time i do this one it evolves/devolves a bit.

First recording and it sounds good. Were those the drums off the 800? Sounds better than the drums off the 900, imo. Or maybe you have the magic touch. Yeah, probably the latter.

Oldrottenhead

Just a drumloop on the 800 same as on the microbr. Tho on the mbr you could change the loop on the fly.
