"Teardrop" - orh & alfstone for the Peel Festive 50

Hey, it's my post number 1000!!!  

So I want celebrate with one of my musical obsessions...

When I noticed it was one of the candidate songs for the Peel Festive 50 I begun to work over it, and asked James to sing...thanks James!

Everything homemade this time, except for the drums in the second part of the song, made with BIAB.

The acoustic guitar is my brand new (Italian) Eko Evo 018 CW - I love this guitar.

Guitar tuning DADGBE, 4th fret. In fact it's a cover of Newton Faulkner's version.

the version by massive attack was no21 in the 1998 festive fifty. this version took a while as i wasn't familiar with newton faulkner.

This is really great.  I love the original because I love Elizabeth Fraser's voice.  My wife loves the Newton Faulkner version. We saw him here in Melbourne a few years ago.  He truly is a one man band.

You guys have done some fabulous collaborations this year.

Guitar sounds sweet and Jim's vocals are simpatico. I also loved the drums. Jim, are you using the on board mics or an external mic?

Used the onboard mics. Was great that I could do four mono vox and one stereo without having to bounce.
