From the prompt "remote" - This is a very quick one. Written and recorded in just over an hour. The voice is almost back...... almost.

Got to get away from it all
Just waiting for the agent to call
Been waiting since the spring to the fall to leave

Guess I'd better pack my bags
Throw in a shirt or some rags
Taking some shorts but not hats, no sleeves

Gonna hit a remote destination
Gonna go at least a thousand miles
Gonna hit a remote destination
Gonna get away for just a while

All my packing is done
Ready to get some sun
Everything is done, you know?

Just waiting for the phone to ring
And the good news it will bring
Hell, I'll even leave my things, let's go

Gonna hit a remote destination
Gonna go at least a thousand miles
Gonna hit a remote destination
Gonna get away for just a while

T.C., great song and recording and all done in a little more than an hour! I like the lyric concept of getting away to warmer weather but in my interpretation it has a deeper meaning than that. I'm envious that you can do this from start to finish in such a short time frame. It seems to take me an hour just to get ready to record let alone write the song and record it. Well done!

A really nice song T.C. The lead guitar is a nice touch. I'm impressed it was done in such a short time.

I'm becoming a fan of the "inspiration strikes"/quick recording method of late. This one ticks all the boxes for me...well-played and sung, and very fresh sounding. Nice one, T.C.

An hour? WooHoo! Go TC!!

I really liked this alot. Your vox remid me of somebody but my old brain can't pull it up.

I agree with Farrell...this could be alot more than a physical getaway tune...

Cool top to bottom on this one man...most enjoyable listen for me....good work!!
