Harley Benton Stratocaster 62

I bought this guitar (99 euro) http://www.thomann.de/it/harley_benton_st_62_bk_vintage_series.htm. Have some little flaws but  is a perfect guitar for jam and if a beer flood a guitar isn't so important.
 play a little test, I speak to annonce the pickup change  but in italian.. the sequence is (neck; neck+middle; middle; middle+bridge; bridge)
THe wilkinson pickup is a real plus in this guitar

A good looking and sounding guitar Balleo and all for 99 Euros! There is a distinct change in tone with each pickup selection. Thanks for the test! BTW, good playing also.

They are cheap guitars, BUT this doesn't mean they are not good.

Harley & Benton is just a brand owned by Thomann: the guitars are made in China (of course) by Saein Musical Instrument Co., property of a Korean OEM vendor; they are the same manufacturers that work for other important brands such as Epiphone and Ibanez.

Harley Benton is to Thomann.de as Jack & Danny is to Musicstore.de, the other German (huge) music web store. Same situation: nice instruments at low price, made in China and branded in different ways. The reviews of these guitars are, in general, rather good.

Wow! I just took the virtual tour of this music store. It's the largest and most interesting music store I've ever seen. If I get to Koln Germany I'm certainly stopping by. I'm not sure if there is a G.A.S. vaccination that is strong enough against a place like this. Thanks for posting the link Alfredo

For those interested, until some years ago the store was much easier to reach, since it was right in the city centre, few hundreds of meters from the famous Dome. But it was smaller than now.
Actually instead it's in an industrial part of the city - let's say the "not touristic" part of Koln, in the New town side of the Rhein river - and the best way to arrive there is by taxi. But it's worthwhile, guaranteed: imagine a huge music instruments 5 flats mega-building...

And anyway Koln is a very, very nice City to visit.

I cannot believe how they have made a guitar so cheap yet so good. It looks stunning, Wilko pick ups too. Straight out the box, not bad, a little attention to the bridge and wow oh wee. I have a Tele, the cabronita ( squier) with the bigsby and this Harley one is built just as good, it has twang galore, it's quiet, sustains well, what a bargain.122 quid, straight to the door with a 3 year warranty. Unbelievable.

I got a HB telecaster for $60. I just had to play a bit with the bridge to get proper intonation and go. It sounds awesome.

Now I think about it, half of my instruments are HB. The best way to "pick and try". I have an electric 8-strings mandoline, an acoustic 5-string fretless bass, an apalacchian dulcimer, the telecaster, a short-scale 4 strings fretted bass, a parlament-type acoustic (for $45!! - now it's more expensive) - all by HB. And I'm a happy man.
