Holiday Song - Farrell original

Holiday Song by Farrell Jackson. It's a solo acoustic instrumental done on my Taylor GS Mini. Mic'ed with two mics in an XY configuration and also using the onboard pickup plugged direct. I then blended and panned the three tracks to taste. I also tuned down from the standard E to D. This really let the guitar and strings resonate.

The Taylor Mini sounds just gorgeous in this lowered tuning (and of course your playing brings out the best from it). I've had an eye on one of these Minis for a while now, but the missus would likely flay me alive if I bought another guitar...

Thanks cuthbert, Bruno, Geir, Tommy. Alfredo, and Hook for the listening to my Holiday Song! Dropping the tuning down to D from E on the Taylor GS Mini really brought out the sustain and tone from the small body.

Hook: A jam would be good brother! I've no immediate plans to head out to Florida but if I ever do I'll look you up. Likewise, if you get out west give me a call and we'll jam away.
