Christmas Monkey
written & performed by Hook
I see the beautiful Christmas lights above
It's like glorious electric love
I see the reindeer
& the Christmas monkey
He swings Christmas tree to Christmas tree
leaves presents
for those he wants to
It's not exactly festive
but it's the Christmas monkey

He's not kidding around
He doesn't wait for a special time
to come to town
He's not going to melt away
and he didn't come to save the day
he's the Christmas monkey

I know there's faith and joy
and hope and spirit to
and a little eggnog
Hit me with a splash of rum
Put a daiquiri on my tab
for when the monkey comes
Yeah the Christmas monkey

Cool track Brother - was missing my Hook song fix :-)
Really like the descending chords on "Christmas monkey". This also has real clarity on the vocals and on the uke. A really excellent job.
