This, I suppose, is a double fester.

Xmas at the mall
w/m:Geir
Sunriser and Magellan iPad synths
Telecaster through Behringer iStudio and Amplitube
Auria used for recording mixing and mastering
Late November at the mall
The percussionists of the brass band are having a ball
Hitting their drums and glockenspiels
Splitting our eardrums with jingle bells
Running in circles from shop to shop
Spinning around... Never stop
Running the escalators up and down
Humming a tune about a kid with a crown

Wrong side of the parking lot when he gets out
forgot the scented candles and the dinner won't be hot
the blister on his credit hand as red as Rudolph's nose
one foot's got a frostbite and the other's lost the toes
"Don't forget the pudding " the text says on his phone
one hour too late and a a mile of snow to cross
sweat is pouring and so is the rain
flat out on the ice "will I see my home again"

The monkey spends his Xmas at the mall

Late December at the mall
Still running in circles digging a hole
Carrying more than his arms can hold
Pulling his hair... Almost bold
Climbing up a Xmas tree foot by foot
hiding under the star ... all alone
a peace in the distance behind his closed eyes
a peace under the branches  ... a peace  ........

Geir, you are a wild and crazy guy!

The drums and synths are in this hot groove that kinda reminds me of an 80's police drama soundtrack...then that screaming rock guitar...and last but not least, those lyrics and that story! No idea where you were going with it all but it was sure fun going for the ride to find out.

I don't know what any of the things are that you recorded with, but you obviously know how to use them!
Good one, Sir Viking!

Hook

Totally wacked out and crazy brilliance just hitting me in the face relentlessly. I was all tense, leaning into the computer speakers, waiting for each line. Completely captivating story, reminded me of Peter Gabriel; lyrically- Lamb Lies Down kinda story & phrasing: musically- early eighties solo stuff. Really love this my brother!
Rock on!

Is just a piece of paper
To say a few lines
Make up my mind
