i started this one after cracking open a bottle of brandy on thursday and disappeared up my own backside in the process. the process was very different from my normal approach was done sort of back to front. the drums where last addition musically if i recall correctly. i then went to bed assured i had created an instrumental masterpiece.

the following day when i heard it, i thought this disrhythmic rubbish was for the bin. but i was bored and decided to write a lyric for it and sing it. lyric was inspired by the process but was written and recorded sober. the music was not.

i'm all over the place
i can't find the beat
slurring all my words
tripping over my feet
can't find no melody
disrhythmic entropy
this'll be the end of me
i'm treading water
waiting for a surge
something to help me escape
this endless dirge
they took my poetic license
now i've no reason to rhyme
this'll be the end of me
i'm a crossword puzzle
screaming incoherently
nonsense in stream of thought
trying to set the words free
can't find my place or cues
as i try to sing the blues
this'll be the end of me
i have no motivation
i've got nothing to say
i have no inspiration
i lost my muse today
can't find no melody
disrhythmic entropy
this'll be the end of me

That's some rumbly low end. It shook loose my bout of constipation. The "disrhythmic" aspect of this is the charm. With everything auto-tuned and quantized to death, the human feel of the guitar against the solid bass is very cool. And the vocals are as always, jealousy-inducing.

I'm hearing a bit of Beefheart in this...and although the timing roams here and there, it all hangs together well.

Magic.

After reading the intro i was ready for a disaster...but it's not the case.

The guitar part is very hypnotic and a whirlpool spiral. That huge low end is perfect for the tune.

The lyrics drip out like the last vestiges of refuge from an empty bottle.

When I was reading the intro I wandered if I could like disrhythmic rubbish, then I found I do. The bass and the vocal keeps this together. Really interesting piece of music.
