George Harrison's song from Revovler, which earned him a lot of respect from the Indian community.

Fair enough, I don't have a sitar, and I wouldn't know what to do with one if I did.

Instead, I used an alternate tuning on my guitar (D-A-D-D-A-D, which I learn from the information super highway is known as D modal).

I don't often do LitLR songs, I don't have that much talent, but this is based on two LitLR tracks (3 in places).  To these I added two GB Indian percussion loops and a live recorded gong.  The gong is one we got travelling in Burma a few years back and has the sweetest sound.  My daughter loves it (calls it the 'ding-dong') and the song ends with her playing about with the gong.

Hope you enjoy

Excellent Nick.....I'd say you have a ton of talent to pull this off LitLR! You've captured the feel of the song and all without a sitar...impressive recording.

This is awesome. The guitar sounds fantastic and you've really captured an Indian feel with the percussion. Great vocals too. You sound a lot like George.

This completes side 1 of Revolver. There are just 2 more songs needed from side 2 ("Doctor Robert" and "I Want to Tell You") to complete the album, which makes Revolver the album nearest to completion in Beatles Challenge Fest.

Updated stats on all the albums and a list of the songs needed can be found here:

Okay, this put a smile on my face!    :D

Really nice job with the alternate tuning, performance and production.  Pays tribute to the original and yet you've still got your own sound.

These days I merely dabble at being old and wise.
But I swear, I used to absolutely excel at being young and stupid.

Great vocals, incredibly great guitar/sitar sound, perfect percussion, the final angel little voice...
