Sonic Highways - Foo Fighters doc

Well, I love the Foo's anyway - but anyone watching this? I'm loving this show. Song per city, and a documentary about the music of the city. Fab concept and so well done. Loving watching this (on BBC iPlayer) - it's not about the Foo's, although they play their part - but all about how music developed in each area.

New album is great as well!

One last night was friggin ace, Joe Walsh comes in and plays a blinding solo with the Foo's - awesome.

I've been watching it too and find it very interesting, but, I don't find the Foo Fighters very interesting at all.
I did, but now they are starting to sound more like Coldplay, I think it's the anthem type stuff that does me in.
Dave Grohl is great though it's just the rest of em that get me wound up, the drummer more than anyone.

Still, it's a great insight never the less.

I'm starting to agree with your assessment of the Foos.  They look content and satisfied these days. I prefer them ANGRY.

I loved their early stuff - how many ways can you play a power chord or use a root note plus octave?  Real punk stuff!

Kurt would be rolling in his grave if he could know how "establishment" his drummer has become. 

However, I saw most of the episode on New Orleans and it was great.
