"Hold Me Back" a Redler & Hook original

This is a tune Redler posted here https://songcrafters.org/community/index.php?topic=21921.0 a while back. I finally got off my selfish kick & did something with it . I might need to remix, the vocals (5 tracks-3 stereo/2 mono) are heavily effected. I used the mbr as a mic with different guitar effects into the 008. I really dig this track Kari, it rocks. I wrote & recorded/mixed this today in my car.

a great backer from kari, (i had a go at it too).

love it hook. is very different from my take but lots of similarity in melody. i'm sure there is a quote from some jazz musician or ancient proverb that says something like "the melody is always there you just have to find it". i'm gibbering now.

i love all the voices and there still being clarity to hear the great lyrics.

when i record multiple voices ......................aaarrgh.

You nail it! I think the music track is out of your "comfort" zone. On some spots this sounds to a new wave song from 70's/80's and a bit psychedelic stuff! Nice job! Rock on!!!

Cool collab gents, and that's a lot of vocal tracks brother :-) Great backer Kari, and as always, Hook delivers the goods. I love the slightly etherial sound that the vocals have, that's add a really cool and 3rd dimension to the track.

That is a great music track to work with. I think the effects work, although I could see maybe cleaning them up a hair for impact. Definitely works as is. I really like that bit on
