i wrote this one a few days ago https://songcrafters.org/community/index.php?topic=22191.0

i was happy with the song, but i thought i could maybe redo it with a bigger "production".

well it turned out differently to how i imagined it would. i had planned to do the bass riff on bass guitar but ended up doing it on a piano patch on my juno.

i spent tons of time not recording but experimenting with different arrangements and probably ended up disappearing up my own asshole.

so this is the bits i actually recorded. i hope i didn't waste my day in the process.  ;D ;D
they say i'm homo sapien
a member of the great apes
and nearly all my dna
is the same as in a chimpanzee
you know it's only yesterday
since i climbed down from the trees
standing tall in my size nine feet
well know i'm walking upright
as a result of evolution
but my back is breaking
for the industrial revolution
it's put a stop to my evolution
i'm feeling small in my size nine feet
i'm feeling small
they put me in a rocket ship
a caveman in a spacesuit
they say i took a giant leap
but i don't feel the gravity
cos nearly all my dna
is the same as in a chimpanzee
standing tall in my size nine feet

Love it.

That's a great piano riff. Dark and ominous. Perfectly fitting.

Even better than the first one. Bigger production puts this to another level!! =>piepod, too...

Yes !! I love it too ! Time well spent James !

The two versions complement each other. I think they both work very well. I like the melody, especially in the beginning, better on the first version, but the second version brings a new, darker, dimension to the song.

Well done James !

I listened to both versions. Both are very different. I do love this one the best. The piano is awesome.

Great atmosphere and amazing lyrics.

You know that feeling you get when you open a jar of canned peaches and drink from the jar and the peach juice runs down your neck and its so sweet? That is the feeling I get when I hear this.
It's got a kick like when the peaches come from the jar after the juice.
That riff is addicting , I love it. Sung with feeling. I think size 9 is pretty much average size worldwide.

Clever lyrics jim,I'm dragged in by them alone.
Nice ambiance you've created as well,I can see were you started to think it could go on and on with additions.
Good stuff.
